You should also stick to the character set including a-z, 0-9, dash, dot and underscore. Spaces in filenames are not allowed. You should compress your files before sending, with a program such as Winzip,or PKZIP. For customers using Macintosh:
The Mac FTP client program recommended by us is Fetch. Under system 7.5, it features a drag and drop interface, and is easily configured.
You can download it by clicking here. Please be aware that there is a shareware fee involved, please honor the creators of the software and pay the fee if you decide to continue using it.

Compress your files using a program such as Stuffit or Diskdoubler, and create a self-extracting archive (.sea) from the file. You should also encode the file using BinHex or in MacBinary.* (MacBinary actually results in a slightly smaller file size, and works just as well as BinHex).
*(If you use Fetch to mainly send DTP files, it can be configured to encode the .sea file as BinHex or MacBinary under Customize: Preferences: Upload). |
